2. Mudgee Farmers Markets
Held the 3rd Saturday of every month, the Mudgee Farmers Markets are open from 8:30am – 12:30pm at Robertson Park, 97a Market Street. The markets are always on – come rain, hail or shine. Grab a bacon and egg roll, team it with a freshly brewed coffee, and listen to local musicians play as you browse the great range of stalls.

Every Thursday head to ‘Locals Night’ at Eltons Eating + Drinking with $14 share plates from 5.30pm (bookings required). Enjoy front row seats to Market Street’s beautiful old buildings and enjoy an evening cocktail! Where: 81 Market Street, Mudgee.
4. Australia Day Celebrations
Come join the community for Australia Day Celebrations – with plenty of options to choose from, you decide how you spend your day. There are daytime events including award ceremonies, BBQ’s, live music, kids activities and market stalls, to night time events at the local wineries and eateries.
5. Kayak Tours
Get out there and explore the incredibly beautiful Dunns Swamp with a guided kayak tour. Dunns Swamp is part of the Wollemi National Park, just over an hour’s drive from Mudgee. Tours are at 9am and 5pm and you can book directly with Southern Cross Kayaking.
6. Degustation Lunches at Blacklea Vineyard & Olive Grove
Blacklea Vineyard & Olive Grove is open daily throughout the school holidays, with Degustation Lunches available from 12 noon to 3pm every Saturday and Sunday. Bookings are essential.
7. Rylstone Artisan and Produce Markets
Held on the 2nd Saturday of the month, the Rylstone Artisan and Produce Markets offers local handmade products such as pottery, jewellery, textiles and sculptures, as well as fresh local produce. Located at Rylstone Community Hall, 73 Louee Street – 45 minutes from Mudgee.
8. Valentines Day Events
Valentines Day – 14 February is always a great night to visit the various wineries for a romantic dinner for 2. Each year there are several special events available to book directly through the local wineries. Check out what is on offer & book your spot.
9. The Gulgong Show
Each year in February, you can be sure to be entertained by the famous Gulgong Show.This traditional country show will delight the whole family with animals, tractor pulls, whip cracking, rodeo, stalls, entertainment and fireworks. Gates open from 8am.
10. Mudgee Farm Tours
One Sunday in each month of the year, you can Meet the farmer, taste seasonal food, watch and learn about production methods and you may even get to see some animals.
